Another former Bahamas minister arrested
NASSAU, Bahamas — Police in The Bahamas on Wednesday decided to hold former minister of labour and national insurance Shane Gibson overnight after questioning him for several hours. The details of the matters he is being questioned on have not yet been revealed. Police were expected to decide by noon on Thursday whether to charge him.
Gibson was being questioned by police at the Central Detective Unit (CDU), The Nassau Guardian confirmed.
Gibson went to the CDU on Wednesday morning but it was unclear what he was being questioned about.
Gibson is the latest among a group of former members of Parliament who have been questioned and/or arrested and charged by police.
